Some important rules of narration
Ø  If there is “sir”/”madam”/”Master”/”mistress” in the reported speech we should use “politely” at the time of changing direct speech into indirect.
Ø  If there is any name in the reported speech we should use “addressed as” at the time of changing direct speech into indirect.
e.g. :- Ram said to me,” Are you playing, Ratan?”
Ram addressed me as Ratan and asked if I was playing.
Ø  If there is “my dear”/”dear” in the reported speech we should use “heartily” at the time of changing direct speech into indirect.
Ø  If there is “yes” in the reported speech we should use “answered in the affirmative” at the time of changing direct speech into indirect
Ø If there is “no” in the reported speech we should use “answered in the negative” at the time of changing direct speech into indirect.
