Ans. We were helped to do the renovation work by them.

ii) The traveller knocks at the door of the abandoned house.

Ans. The door of the abandoned house is knocked at by the traveller.

iii) The culprit confessed his guilt.

Ans. His guilt was confessed by the culprit.

Dear friend Amal,

                  It has been long since I heard from you. Hope you are hale and hearty, by the grace of God. I am fine here. But I came to know that you do not go through newspaper daily. So I am writing this letter about the importance of reading newspaper daily.

                   Newspaper is very essential in our modern life. To some people it has become a companion with their morning tea. It brings the whole world in our grip and creates a link with the people of the whole world. We get various types of news like news of sports, politics, economics, science etc. Job-seekers are also benefited by it. It not only provides us information but also widens our outlook. It enriches our vocabulary and teaches us the construction of sentence. So it is a good habit to read newspaper daily.

                   Hope this will interest you to read newspapers daily. No more today. Take my love and convey regards to your parents.
