Prepositions: In, At, On (Place)

জায়গা বা স্থান বোঝাতে In, At এবং On এর ব্যবহার

১. In (ভেতরে বা ঘেরা স্থান): কোনো কিছুর ভেতরে, সীমানার মাঝে, বা ঘেরা জায়গায় (enclosed space) বোঝাতে 'in' বসে। শহর বা দেশের নামের আগেও 'in' বসে।
যেমন: in a room, in a building, in a box, in a garden, in a city (in Paris), in the sea.

২. At (নির্দিষ্ট পয়েন্ট বা জায়গা): নির্দিষ্ট কোনো বিন্দু বা জায়গা (specific point/location) বোঝাতে 'at' বসে।
যেমন: at the bus stop, at the door, at the window, at the top/bottom (of the page), at the end of the street.

৩. On (পৃষ্ঠের ওপর): কোনো কিছুর পৃষ্ঠের ওপর (surface) লেগে থাকা বোঝাতে 'on' বসে।
যেমন: on the ceiling, on the wall, on the floor, on a page, on an island, on her nose.

• There were a lot of people in the shop. (দোকানের ভেতরে)
  ➔ Turn left at the shop. (দোকানের ঠিকানায় বা লোকেশনে পৌঁছালে)
• There is some water in the bottle. (বোতলের ভেতরে জল)
  ➔ There is a label on the bottle. (বোতলের বাইরের গায়ে লেবেল)
• There is somebody at the door. (দরজার কাছে কেউ দাঁড়িয়ে আছে)
  ➔ There is a notice on the door. (দরজার পৃষ্ঠে নোটিশ লাগানো)
