Result: Macbeth murdered Duncan

Consequences & Aftermath

2. Donalbain fled to Ireland
3. Macbeth was crowned King

The Escalation of Blood

To secure his throne against Banquo's prophecy:

• Banquo was killed
• Fleance (his son) fled

The Banquet Scene:

• Banquo's ghost appears, shattering Macbeth's sanity in front of his lords.

2nd Meeting with Witches The Three Apparitions

1. Armed Head Spirit:
   "Be aware of Thane of Fife" (Macduff).
2. Bloody Child:
   "No fear of death from naturally born" (No man born of woman shall harm Macbeth).
3. Crowned Child with a Tree:
   "Shall not be vanquished till Birnam Wood move up" to Dunsinane Hill.
